Kydland and Prescott - Time to Build and Aggregate Fluctuations
L’article de Kydland et Prescott publié en 1982 Time to Build and Aggregate Fluctuations, est certainement l’article de référence qui a inspiré toute une génération d’économiste, et qui a transformer l’analyse macroéconomique en une analyse microéconomiquement fondée. George Mccandless sur son ouvrage The ABCs of RBCs, écrit : "Building models with the required microeconomic foundations has not been easy, but, following on Kydland and Prescott [1982], a body of techniques has been developed that now allows one to build quite complicated microeconomic-based macroeconomic models in which consumers and producers are optimizing, have rational expectations, can have market power over wages or prices, and can utilize domestic and foreign financial markets, and where government policies operate under budget constraints and rule."

« Intellectuals who keep silent about what they know, who ignore the crimes that matter by moral standards, are even more culpable when their society is free and open. They can speak freely, but choose not to. » Stanley Cohen, States of Denial: Knowing about Atrocities and Suffering of Others
